We invited our family and friends into class to share our lovely new books. Each pack contains an activity booklet to complete and many more goodies to keep everyone busy. We enjoyed juice and biscuits. Super end to the week!

At the end of the week after working super hard with all our activities relating to the story. Craig from the library came to visit us and give us our Bookbug Bags. While he was here he read us a couple of stories.

As part of Bookbug week we made ice-cream sundaes. ‘Gorrilla loves Vanilla’ by Chae Strathie was one of the books in the pack. I think that Emily enjoyed her sundae.

P1 and Nursery children worked together on a joint topic. The children in the Nursery had an opportunity to come and complete activities with the P1 children. The end of the week the children went outside on a lovely nature walk in the Butterfly Garden to spot all the different characters in the book.

P1 took part in Heartstart where we were able to assess dangers and was able to call for help. P1 tapped the patient on the shoulders to see if there were unresponsive before they called for an ambulance.

P1 when to visit the local library in Blairgowrie. Craig the librarian read us some lovely stories and we had some time to explore the library for a little while and read with some of our parent helpers.

We have been learning our tricky words. These words we can’t sound out therefore we need to learn them. Very tricky!

P1 have been learning about road safety as part of the Wellbeing Wheel.

Numicon is a multi-sensory approach to teaching maths in the classroom. It is designed to help children understand connections between numbers. With this in mind P1 made Numicon cookies. Each child had fun counting the sweeties into the holes. A very yummy number job today.

Primary 1 and the Nursery have been learning about their rights. We have focused on our right to play. We played games in the courtyard and had to change them into new games.
