CREATIVE WRITING // STILL STUCK FOR IDEAS?

We’ve completed a variety of tasks to get you thinking about your own stories. If you’re still struggling for an idea, here’s some things that might help.

BBC Bitesize N5 Creative:  Notes on what the SQA want to see from creative writing. Some ideas for developing plot, character and setting.

Creative Writing Prompts: Some stems of ideas you can respond to. Some much more sensible than others here, be careful with what you select.

Task: Pick a few details about your character (in green) and then write about some of their memories (in yellow). This might give you some ideas to work with or even a full short story. You can put your character in a situation where they are reflecting back on their life.
