Support

Our Cloud is supported and developed by Perth and Kinross’ Education Services Team. The main aim of the site is to provide support and advice to schools and other partners working in the authority as they begin to embed digital technologies in learning and teaching.

Our Cloud intends to become a central hub for teachers, learners and parents in embracing the wealth of online tolls and resources that can support and enhance effective learning.

Curate?

There is such a wealth of information and a multitude of tools available online that it may be difficult to know where to start. Our Cloud intends to support schools in this by curating content that we think may be useful. We will showcase resources and tools that other schools are using to good effect, as well as providing direct links to some excellent web resources from this one central space. We hope that schools will begin to visit Our Cloud as a starting point from which to access tools and resources from all over the internet. Our intention is to make it easy for schools to access a variety of content and tools and we recognise that there is a major job to be done in curating this for you.

Consult

Our Cloud will also provide opportunities for consultation with teachers, learners and parents on such matters as connectivity and devices as we move towards piloting and developing BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) in Perth and Kinross establishments.

Share

We hope that, as schools develop their use of digital and web technologies for learning, Our Cloud can provide a central space for showcasing success stories and sharing good practice. We encourage schools to share examples of effective practice in using the web and other technologies to support and enhance learning.
