Apple Regional Training Centres deliver courses to build the skills and confidence of educators to use Apple technology inside and outside the classroom. We are a community who share best practices and inspire excellence through teaching with Apple technology.

All courses run from 4pm to 5.15 pm at Oakbank Primary

16th January 2019 Fostering creativity with iPad See how iPad can support learners with the three phases of the creative process – Brainstorming, Gathering Inspirational Resources and Telling Compelling Stories.

By gathering and creating innovative resources, students can craft a message for a specific audience, communicate ideas clearly and sharpen their critical thinking.

27th February 2019 Everyone can Create – Video on iPad The Everyone Can Create guides teach students to develop and communicate ideas and help ignite creativity by giving teachers fun and meaningful ways to bring these skills into any lesson, topic or assignment.

In this session we’ll explore the power of video which gives students a powerful means of interpreting existing ideas and constructing strong narratives, using Clips, iMovie and the built-in camera.

27th March 2019 Everyone can Create – Photo on iPad The Everyone Can Create guides teach students to develop and communicate ideas and help ignite creativity by giving teachers fun and meaningful ways to bring these skills into any lesson, topic or assignment.

By examining and capturing photos, students can better understand the realities of the world around them. Using the iPad camera and the Photos app, they’ll learn to identify and frame compelling subjects, experiment with light and shadow, and explore all aspects of composition, telling a narrative through phot and reflecting upon it.
