On Saturday 29th November we opened our doors to the community and invited them to take a tour of our school. Our pupils were fantastic tour guides and led our visitors around the school to show them our newly decorated classrooms and learning spaces and huge outdoor play area and grounds.
Our Collace School Association ran the Open Doors Day where we welcomed a mix of ex pupils and staff, members of the community and families for their tours. After the tours our visitors enjoyed teas, coffees and biscuits and chatting to school staff, pupils, neighbours and other members of the community.
We displayed our large archive of pupil registers and Head Teacher diaries dating back to the 1800s and lots of photos from over the years which were very popular with all our visitors.
It was a fantastic morning that continued to strengthen the link between our school and the community around us.
