At Viewlands we are using a model of shared learning to offer childen the opportunity to work across their own stage and also with different years groups. The model of shared learning that we have adopted allows our children the opportunity to explore their leadership skills, to work with others in a variety of ways and support our youngsters to become confident individuals, successful learners, responsible citizens and effective contributors (4 capacities of CfE).
Throughout the session various partnerships with classes / stages takes place. This is very much dependent on where each class is on their learning journey and where a partnership is mutually beneficial to all learners.
Feedback from our children is extremely positive. They feel that being able to share their learning has deepened their knowledge or built their confidence / self esteem.
