Scots Poetry Competition 2012 Winners

Portmoak Primary pupils have been vocal with their verses and super with their Scots this week, as they competed to be their class Scots Poetry champion for 2012.

Margaret Wilson (our retired Headteacher) and Alistair Morgan (from the Jolly Beggar’s Burns Club) had their work cut out for them judging the winners for our Scottish Poetry Competition. The standard of presentation was very high overall, which made the job of deciding on a winner very difficult for our guest judges, so well done to everyone who learned their poem and was able to present in front of an audience.

The winners for the 2012 competition are pictured with their certificates and the overall P7 winner received the Burns Quaich, which was donated to the school in 2010 by the Jolly Beggar’s Burns Club
