SSE Engineering Information Session

18th Dec 2013 – School Hall – 0930 to 1100

There will be 2 sessions (back to back) for any S4, S5 or S6 leaver interested in finding out about engineering as a career option.  There will be 3 separate speakers delivering talks to:

  • Students wishing to enter on a full time engineering apprenticeship programme (earn whilst you learn)
  • Students wishing to study towards an engineering degree alongside an apprenticeship programme (earn whilst you learn)
  • Graduate opportunities for students intending to take up a full time engineering degree course at university.

There will be current undergraduates, graduates and trainee apprentices at the sessions to take questions and offer any advice based on their experience to date.  There will also be an opportunity to collect application forms (selections are made by SSE in February 2014) and ask any relevant questions about this process.  Parents are also invited to attend the sessions.

Sign-up sheets to express your interest in attending a session will be available at assemblies or in the Careers section in the school library.
