The Careers area of the Learning Resource Centre in Perth Academy has lots of information about different careers and apprenticeship opportunities, as well as information on college and university courses.

How can I get help to make good career choices?

Your careers adviser, Jane Clark is in school on Thursdays and on Friday mornings. You can arrange a meeting to discuss your career plans whether you already have some ideas, or if you are just starting to think about what you might want to do in the future.

How do I get to see my careers adviser in school?

Pick up and complete a request card from the Learning Resource Centre or speak to your guidance teacher. Look out for your name in the DIS and come along to room 33a during registration on the day stated. You can also e-mail jane.clark@sds.co.uk to request a meeting.

Can I get advice and help when the school is closed, or after I leave school?

There are advisers available in the Skills Development Scotland Centre in Highland House, St Catherine’s Road, Perth PH1 5RY. Tel. 01738 637639. This centre is open during office hours and you can drop-in without an appointment.
