Well done to P5-7 for taking part in the inter-school orienteering championships at Strathallan today. The weather was being typically Scottish providing a lovely grey backdrop with a sprinkling of rain. The weather however did not dampen the enthusiasm of the children who all did extremely well. Extra congratulations to Straun and Donald who came 3rd overall out of a total of 96 teams.

We have been learning how to play the game of Curling at the ice rink in Perth. Curling is a game played on ice and you need to make sure you have very clean shoes otherwise you won’t be allowed on. We learned how to throw the stones correctly and how to sweep to keep the stones moving. We even got to share the ice with the current Scottish and European Champions!
Well done to the P5-7 Forgandenny Corss Country Team who took part in the interschool event at Perth Race Course today. Everyone completed the challenging course in good times.

Well done to all those who took part in the Scots poetry competition. After a full recital in class the winners and the runners up were announced at assembly today.

We have been rehearsing for our Christmas Show this week and last night it was performance evening. Check out some of the pictures from the big night.
Today we went to Bell’s Sport Centre to take part in the annual day of Scottish Dancing. It was a fantastic day of dance with other schools from all over Perth and Kinross.
Well done to Struan in achieving his Black Belt in karate. Struan has worked hard to over a number of years and at the weekend, following an intensive course , was awarded his belt. All of us @ Forgandenny, especially P5-7 are really proud of him. Well done
