Technology and Numeracy in the Forest
This term P1/2 were learning how to use tools safely in the forest.
We combined learning how to use saws safely with learning fractions and measure. We also made 2d and 3d shapes and symmetrical pictures.

Numeracy Games

Counting in 2′ to 10′ Coconut multiples
Do what you have been doing in class.
SSPCA
We had a super visit from the SSPCA.
She informed the children on how to keep safe around dogs.
We learnt a lot about how dogs behave and how we should behave around them.

Sense of Smell
P1/2 had great fun experimenting with their sense of smell.
There were some pleasant smells but also some that were not too pleasant to smell!
Making Dens
We have been learning to make dens in the forest.
We first of all made one for our little fairies and then worked together to make a larger one in a certain style for one person to fit in.
Police visit
The police came to the school and we learned all about their job and what they have to help them to do their job.
P1/2, Nursery and P3Â had a great time trying on all their equipment.
