NHS Smoking Workshop

On the 25th February, Primary 7 took part in the NHS Smoking Workshop. The spent a whole day learning about the dangers and effects of smoking through drama and music. They were educated on the dangerous chemicals that are in cigarettes and were given an opportunity to present and perform what they had learned to Primary 5 & 6.

Book Fair

The book Fair is back in school!!

Children will be given a opportunity to browse the book fair over the next few days. If your child would like a book, they can bring money to Mrs Donaldson at lunch time to purchase it.

As it is Scottish Book Week, we are delighted to announce that for every book purchased from out Book Fair, a book will then be donated to our school in return.

So support our school and get reading!

Ladies Night

On 28th November the school are holding a Pamper Night for ladies over 18s. Tickets are on sale for £10 which includes a choice of treatment. Treatments available are nails, eyebrow wax, hair styling or head massage. There will also be a variety of stall available to help get that Christmas shopping started! You can buy tickets on the night; fun starts at 6.30pm. We all hope you can come along and support our school.

William Soutar Competition

Children across Primary 6 & 7 took part in the William Soutar Poetry competition. They all performed a William Soutar poem and five were chosen to compete in the finals at AK Bell Library against four other schools. We are very proud of how the children represented the school and they each received a certificate for their fantastic efforts on the day.

Well done!

Children In Need

On Wednesday 12th November we had Children in Need Day. Everyone came into school dressed as a super hero. We held a bake sale for every class and there was also an obstacle course that everyone did. In the afternoon, we had a talent show. The picture below shows the winners of the Talent Show with our total money raised! We raised £324.25 altogether. Well done to everyone.
