World Book Day

On Thurday 5th March the whole of Moncreiffe Primary School went book crazy as we celebrate World Book Day 2015. Children were invited to come to school dressed as their favourite book character. They were also encouraged to donate books to our School Book Fair where we selling books for as little as 50p! The Book Fair was so popular we continued it on throughout the following week. Children took part in a variety of activities including designing a Book Character and taking part in a Story Writing Competition. There was also prizes for the Best Dressed in each class and even a prize from staff who all took to dressing up as famous Roald Dahl characters. Some parents even joined in the fun in the afternoon by volunteering to read to small groups of children from each class.

A fantastic day was had by all and it really helped highlight how much fun it can be to sit down with a good book!
