Thank you to all those parents, staff and pupils who gave up their time after school to tidy the garden. What a difference an hour or 2 makes. Thank you to Amanda for organising the event and to Mrs Sinclair for her very kind donations of plants and flowers. All energies replaced by delicious home baking. If anyone would be interested to help in the future, please see Amanda or pop into the school and let us know.
Paramedic visit
Thank you to Mrs Galloway for organising our visit from Heather. Heather is a working paramedic in Perth and Kinross who spent the afternoon with us at Forgandenny. She spent time with each class answering questions, sharing her knowledge and equipment before showing the children in the back of the ambulance. Many thanks to Heather for her time.
RAF Search and Rescue visit
We had a wonderful surprise in store for our Forgandenny Primary pupils yesterday. After a walk to the Angus family farm, the children were treated to a very rare experience as an RAF Search and Rescue Sea King helicopter landed in front of them. Pupils were then treated to a tour of the helicopter, talks from the crew and even a turn in the cockpit! Thank you so much to Squadron Leader Mick Cross and his team for making our day so memorable. I am sure it is an experience that will live with the children for a very long time. Thank you also to Mr Angus for allowing us to use his field for the visit and to Mrs Lowe for organising the whole day.

Welcome Mrs May
We are delighted to welcome Mrs May to Forgandenny Primary. Mrs May is a PGDE student from Dundee University and she will spending blocks of time with us from now until January. Mrs May will be based in the P5/6/7 class but will be visiting the other classes also. We wish her well on the start of her student pacement and hope she will be very happy here with us.
Parent and Child Lunch
Primary 1 enjoyed their first lunch in school today with their Mummies and Daddies. They managed very well with the new routine and nearly all had clean plates! We hope they will enjoy their full days in school. The buddies will be on hand to help them in the lunch hall until October. Many thanks to Ms Lyttle for all her hard work this morning.

Biking Breakfast
A huge thanks to the health group for organising a fantastic biking breakfast for the community. The weather could have been better on the day but it did nothing to dampen the enthusiasm of the children who came along to school at 8:30am for a healthy breakfast to start the day. The group had prepared fresh fruit, pancakes, malt loaf, choice of cereals and juice ensuring stomachs were full and ready to start the day.
The Bike Station and Dr Bike were also with us at school and tried to service as many bikes as they could on the day. If you need more information on the service Dr Bike offers please see the website
