Our school lunches are very popular – Ms Lyttle our school cook does an amazing job, and is greatly appreciated by pupils and staff. The number of pupils taking school lunches has risen steadily over the last 2 years, and now accounts for an average of 70% lunches a day.
Well Done Ms Lyttle, great job on the school lunches. I hear fab things about the soups and shepherds pie especially.
The dietitians involved have had a great task in putting together the menu plans and nutritional information. I think it is really helpful to be able to see the nutritional information (but then as a dietitian I guess that I would!!) My only comment is that it is s shame that the chicken strips are not purely chicken breast. My only gripe is the Sodium tripolyphosphate used in the chicken strips. Although perfectly safe and simply a preservative, I would definitely prefer just plain old chicken thanks.
