- 1 fat ball feeder and 50 fat balls
- a bunch of bird treats for our feathered friends
- a large box of peanuts
Litter picking in the rain!
This month sees the start of the Keep Scotland Tidy campaign. At Forgandenny we decided to clean up the school garden as it was in a dreadful mess after the long, cold winter.
We nearly filled two black rubbish bags and we found cartons of juice, a full packet of sweets, yoghurts, old nails, hose attachments, a cable, crisp packet and even a some cans. All in all not a very tidy school playground.
Two photographers also took pictures of untidy spots in the school grounds. We are going to use the pictures to show people the spots and hopefully make them look much better. Check out the pictures below.
Creativity in the Green Team
Today in the Green Team we updated not only this blog but also the Green Team board with pictures of our new bird feeders and our part of the website.
Our eco code
Today in the eco team we divided in to two groups. The P6/7 ‘s worked on the eco code poster , we all helped to make the poster and then we decorated it . Meanwhile the P3/4’s made a cool collage spelling Eco using pictures . They have put it on the eco board. Go and check it out and tell us what you think.

Apples, Apples nothing but Apples…and a few tatties
Today the eco group were picking apples in the outdoor stage area. They are not eating apples but are good for feeding horses and making delicious pies or jelly. We also dug up the remaining potatoes and harvested the last of the beans. Mrs Little has our potatoes again and will hopefully work her magic once more! All the eco group have some apples to take home and try.
They are all going to try and take a picture of them cooking or using the apples at home and bring it into school.
Esther – ‘ I didn’t realise how many apples there were just sitting there or falling down from the trees…there were heaps of them and can’t wait to try the pies I am going to make’
Chris – ‘ It was lots of hard work but at last it is done’
Digging the veggies
Today it has been glorious in the Forgandenny School garden. Everyone has played their part in picking broad and runner beans and digging up the Red Rooster Potatoes. We are going to send the harvest to Mrs Little (our wonderful school cook) and she will whisk up some delicious school lunches. Each of the Eco team are also bringing home a sample of the school veggies.
