Tour of the School

Today we all went on a walk of the school to see what kind of plants, veggies and fruits were growing. First of all we went down to the bird hide to see what we could find. We first looked at the rhubarb that is growing down there. Then we saw some bluebells there were two different types of bluebells. Mr Donnachie asked us if we could find the difference with them but no one could. The difference was that one was Spanish and one was native. All the flowers on the native one went over to one side and the Spanish one the petals spread everywhere. We saw our two apple trees they have not got any apples on them yet. We found some wild garlic next to the seats at the stage.

We then went around to front of the school to see what was goring. There was a lot of herbs:

  • Chives
  • Garlic chives
  • Mint

There was also some lavender there too.

Over all there is a lot of plants in the garden.
