Substance Misuse

The aims of substance misuse education are to educate young people in:

  • prevention of drug misuse
  • promotion of healthy life-styles
  • development of knowledge, skills and values to help young people make responsible health choices

The Personal and Social Education (PSE) programme adapts to match young people’s different needs at each stage of their development in secondary school.  Click on a year group to see an outline of the programme.
