Gala Float Parade Winners
Thanks to the hard work of a team of Parent Council members Blackford Primary School’s float won the Gala Day Float Competition. We think you’ll agree that the float and all the children looked fabulous!
Road to Rio
Well done to all pupils who took part in the Gala Show’s Road to Rio performance. The evening was a great success. Thank you to all our families and friends who cam along to watch – we hope you enjoyed the show as much as we did!
Scotland’s Gardening Festival Success!
Our ‘Guardians of the Garden’ are a group of pupils who volunteered to be responsible for planting flowers and vegetables and generally looking after the garden. They also worked on a project to create an entry for the Gardening Scotland Show’s Pallet Garden competition. The project was supported by the Parent Council, in particular Mr Andrew Sinclair, who helped to transport the garden to Edinburgh, and Mrs Nicky & Mr Drew Sinclair, parents of a former pupil. Pupils chose the theme of ‘Peter Rabbit’ for their garden and worked hard to create a lovely 1m x 1m garden. We think it looked fabulous and so did the judges – it was awarded a gold medal!
