Gardening Scotland Prize winners

Well done to P1/2 who took second place in the school’s category and received a Gold award for their entry in the Pallet Garden competition at Gardening Scotland. They created a garden with a Fairyland theme and it looked amazing! Thank you to parents Mr Sinclair and Mr Head for all their help in making the garden look so great.

Braco Show Art Competition

P3/4 have been busy preparing with our entry for the Braco and Greenloaning Community Council Shield competition. This is to be a whole school project of a collage with the theme ‘Our Village’. The Show is taking place on Saturday 25th July.

Pupils have been collecting plastic coloured bottle tops to create the display….more pictures will follow!

Scottish Education Awards

We are delighted that the talents and hard work of one of our parents has been recognised in this year’s Scottish Education Awards. Karen Yearsley was nominated for the Parents as Partners in Learning Award and we are very excited that she has been selected as a finalist. Three judges have been to school and spoken with staff, parents and pupils – they also went to a Forest School session with Karen. The awards ceremony is taking place on Wednesday 10th June and Karen, Mrs Lynn and three lucky pupils are going along.

Karen plays a huge part in the life of the school, in addition to Forest School she has accompanied pupils on the ski trip, helped out with orienteering and football and has recently passed her midas assessment so that she can drive the community minibus for us. We are keeping our fingers crossed & will let you know how the day goes!
