A warm welcome to Blackford Primary School.
We are a small, rural school nestled just off the A9 between Greenloaning and Auchterarder, with 53 wonderful children who make up our Blackford Primary family. Our beautiful setting allows us to learn and play outdoors every day, using our school grounds and surrounding community as an extension of our classroom. Our vision is that every child grows, learns, achieves and thrives, becoming the very best they can be. Guided by the values of Curriculum for Excellence, we nurture children who are confident, curious and ready to contribute to their world.
The Health & Wellbeing of our school community is very important to us. Staff and volunteers promote our values and encourage children to respond positively to challenges and build their resilience. We are proud to be a Health Promoting School, an Eco School, a Digital School, a Fair Aware School and continue to promote Children’s Rights as outlined in the UNCRC.
We are very proud of our strong ethos of inclusion where all pupils, staff and parents are highly valued and encouraged to contribute to the life and work of the school. Learning is at the heart of everything we do, and we strive to develop happy, positive and successful individuals.
Above all, we want our children to feel safe in their environment, secure in their relationships, and successful in their learning. In our small school, every child is known, every voice is heard, and every success is celebrated.
