Blackford Primary School is a rural primary school located just a few miles south of Auchterarder. Our beautiful location provides a rich environment for learning and teaching.
We are very proud of our strong ethos of inclusion where all pupils, staff and parents are highly valued and encouraged to contribute to the life and work of the school. Learning is at the heart of everything we do, and we strive to develop happy, positive and successful individuals.
The Health & Wellbeing of our school community is very important to us. Staff and volunteers promote our values and encourage children to respond positively to challenges and build their resilience through programmes such as Forest School. We are proud to be a Health Promoting School, an Eco School, a Digital School, a Fair Aware School and continue to promote Children’s Rights as outlined in the UNCRC.
Pupils ranging from P1 to P7 are accommodated in three composite classes. Children enter our school from a number of local Early Learning & Childcare centres. Upon leaving, most P7 pupils go on to continue their learning at The Community School of Auchterarder.
