In the Autumn Term of 2024 the Primary Class topic was “Our Community”. We looked at what makes Shapinsay a great place to live, and what a community needs.<\/p>\n

We went on lots of visits, and had a lot of visitors in school. Here is just some of what we did!<\/p>\n

We went to the Smithy and learned about jobs there.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

We went to the Shapinsay shop and found out how it works.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Liam McArthur MSP came to talk to us about the Scottish Parliament.<\/p>\n

We visited the Shapinsay kirk.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

We visited the Heritage Centre.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

We visited the Fire Station.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

We donated some things to Cast Affs.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

We learned about the role of the First responders<\/p>\n
