Tour of Earl’s and Bishop’s Palaces

On Friday, 17th of May, Shapinsay Primary, Papay School and Eday Primary went on a tour held by Glaitness School. The tour guides were dressed in medieval outfits to set the theme of the palaces. They were split into two groups: one group did a tour of the Earl’s palace – the other group did a tour of the Bishop’s palace.

STEM Day

On the Wednesday 29th of May our school went to King Street Halls to do Science Technology Engineering and maths (STEM) challenges and a presentation for each class. 
The older years did a marble run. All the P1-4 class got a bag with a note-book and some sweeties.

Hope the humpback whale

On Friday 17th of may, we went on a school trip. Part of it was visiting KGS. We had been invited to visit Hope, the giant inflatable humpback whale.
We even went inside her! There were some other activities As
well. We learned a bit about dolphins and porpoises, and we also did a whale themed race where you would have to roll a big dice and move that amount of squares on the racetrack.
