Rationale for Spend:<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/td>\nAs a result of the inspection, we specifically focused on our PEF plans to be sure we had responsive interventions.\u00a0\u00a0This was to have evidence showing significant progress clearly linked to targeted funds for very specific interventions.\u00a0\u00a0PEF was also used for professional learning (PL) and resources across the school as a result of the self-evaluation process and an identified need.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

After interrogation of the data, interventions were targeted and focussed for a term at a time before being evaluated and adapted to achieve better progress.\u00a0 <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A review of spending in November resulted in a change of development targeting social and emotional support spaces for changing dynamics within the school.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Activities\/interventions:<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/td>\n

HT (<\/span>EJR<\/span><\/b>) and PT (<\/span>CA<\/span><\/b>) introduced\u00a0a maths and numeracy recovery programme across the school.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

All teaching staff took\u00a0part in PL opportunities to improve knowledge, understanding and skills in numeracy.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

High quality texts and resources (including digital)\u00a0were\u00a0bought\u00a0to support interventions.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

HT (<\/span>EJR<\/span><\/b>) and PT (<\/span>CA<\/span><\/b>) introduced\u00a0Talk 4 Writing and Sounds Write across the school.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

All teaching staff took\u00a0part in PL opportunities to improve knowledge, understanding and skills in Talk 4 Writing.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Targeted staff\u00a0did\u00a0training\u00a0in Sounds Write for continuity from P1-4<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Sounds Write\u00a0expertise\u00a0cascaded to\u00a0SfL\u00a0staff to lead 1 to 1\u00a0\/\u00a0small group interventions\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

High quality digital resources supported\u00a0maths\u00a0interventions.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Literacy engagement and enjoyment\u00a0provided through\u00a0Reading Eggs<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

All teaching staff took\u00a0part in Emotion Coaching, Zones of Regulation and CIRCLE training opportunities to improve knowledge, understanding and skills in supporting emotional wellbeing.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Evaluative statement:<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/td>\n

PEF funding has had a positive impact on children with a focus on writing, numeracy and a social and emotional support space.\u00a0\u00a0This has created a successful learning environment which promotes an inclusive pedagogy with a wider reaching impact as a result.\u00a0\u00a0The PEF developments have supported and upskilled teachers and contributed to higher quality learning and teaching and resources.\u00a0\u00a0The support space has facilitated work with partners.\u00a0\u00a0A continuation into 25\/26 should see the impact clearly with further development.\u00a0\u00a0The school make-up will be changing next session and this will provide continuity for children.\u00a0 Progress has been made and attainment is good.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
