ELC IMPROVEMENT PRIORITIES:\u00a0Play and\u00a0Learning in a Wider Community \/ Planning and Tracking<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Data\/evidence that informed this priority:<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

There\u00a0were 5 children in the nursery session from Aug 24, with the number increasing to 8 by Easter.\u00a0\u00a0The N4 children have been in a group of 2-4 children in session 23\/24 and have had less experience of playing and socialising with a mixed and varied group of peers.\u00a0\u00a0We continue to create opportunities for the children to work across the school and with older children to support their interpersonal skills development.\u00a0\u00a0We continue to recognise that relationships lie at the heart of children\u2019s development and lay the foundation for lifelong learning and wellbeing.\u00a0\u00a0We\u00a0recognise the need for improved recording of assessment and data,\u00a0leading to robust professional\u00a0judgement,\u00a0so children progress\u00a0positively and have successful transitions.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Overall evaluative statement:<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The nursery setting has worked well with the whole school setting to provide a broader social experience for the small number of children attending\u00a0at the beginning of the year\u00a0in particular.\u00a0\u00a0They have\u00a0self-evaluated well to\u00a0maintain\u00a0an interesting and dynamic space which provides challenge and a breadth of learning experience\u00a0whilst still following the interests of\u00a0the\u00a0children\u00a0and\u00a0meeting their developmental needs.\u00a0\u00a0As a result, the children in the nursery are successful in their learning.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
