KGS on track for a bumper hatch!

KGS are preparing themselves for a bumper hatch as they were issued with around 800 brown trout ova! They have done such a good job at removing the odd dead ovum and maintaining the water quality that there has been very few casualties and everything is looking  promising! A couple of weeks to go before the alevins start coming out of their shells…

Well done to all those involved in the project!

  1. The KGS eggs are starting to eye up. Water and air temperature have been pretty low for a few weeks now. Only losing the occasional egg now so all going to plan!

  2. Excellent news Mr. Ewing!
I shoud be at the Grammar School on Wednesday for in-service and hope to get the opportunity to see your mini-hatchery. Did I say “mini”? Nearly 1000 eggs!!! (I’m just jealous…).
Keep up the good work boys!
