Click on the picture above to maximise it and look carefully! You will notice in the middle of the picture a couple of “eyed” ova. There is a slightly darker shade inside the egg which shows the alevin developing. Oscar spotted the first one!

Thanks for your post Mr. Ewing! The ova at North Walls seem to be slightly ahead of the Stronsay ones as none on Stronsay were “eyed” yet (& just 2 casualties today). There should be some significant changes by next week and we’ll let you know!
