Thanks to everyone for returning the Queen Bee competition sheet. We have all been busy developing our skills in different areas. P4 are explaining their  thoughts and ideas in more detail and are using words which help them to understand concepts. Play Think of a number to practise finding a number by asking useful questions: is it above / below, is it odd/even, how many digits does it have, is it between ?

We have been learning how to write an interesting description. Today we were describing a setting using senses and words to create atmosphere. I wonder who will be a Star Writer this week?

Please remember that P.E.  is on Monday and Thursday. Gym kits, gym shoes and no jewellery please, if possible.

Just to let you know that everyone has a sheet for a competition to name the Queen Bee in our beehive. This is one of our homework activities for next week, but because we would like it to be returned by Wednesday at the latest, we are giving the children the weekend to think about it/ complete it.

We went out to look at the hive yesterday and there are some videos on the school blog, showing the inside if the hive.
