Today we were learning more about the properties of 3d shapes. Then we played Snowman Drive which is like playing Beetle Drive but without legs!! This was great for mental maths practice. In the afternoon we watched a virtual panto of Aladdin which was great fun. Then we played a couple of rounds of Who am I?
Here we are rehearsing our moves for our Makaton signed Christmas song for the virtual Nativity.
We had fun paying the Among Us game and using logic and strategy with our partner to beat the other teams.
In the afternoon we had a virtual elf visit and we were given a gift to take home. The elf knew all about Woodlands and how well we are working which was a great surprise!!
It has been a different sort of party day, but there has been fun, laughter and being together which has been great!

This morning we were writing instructions for how to play the Dreidl game which Jewish people play at Hanukkah. This afternoon we made Dreidl and had a go at playing the game ourselves.
We have been continuing to learn how to move into space and pass the ball to our teammates effectively.
This morning we were learning about Saint Nicholas and how he is known for helping the poor, the needy and the sick. We also learnt about some of the miracles that he performed.
This morning we were learning the history of the Jewish festival of Hanukkah which is also known as the Festival of Lights. We learnt about the miracle of the oil burning in the temple for 8 days.
We went on our Reindeer Dash and had a great time on our walk together in our sleigh teams.
Our headbands are ready for the Reindeer Dash tomorrow! It’s Christmas ( or other) jumper and Christmas lunch tomorrow- lots of photo opportunities available!
Today we were practising when to use the homophones to, too and two in sentences.
In data handling we were creating bar graphs based on survey data from another class.
Today we have been practising a short conversation carried out in French including a few basic phrases and questions.
As part of our work learning about compass directions, we used some small compasses to identify directions when we were in the playground.
In PE this afternoon, we practised our techniques in trying to “dummy”our opponents. There was some good intercepting as well as beginning to find space and we played some games to practise these skills.
