Primary 6 were stuck with Mr Green this morning while Primary 7 enjoyed their trip to high school. They worked on their maths skills and then created Stop Motion Movies using the PowerPoint Programme.

Outdoor Physical Education
Primary 6/7 will be taking part in a 4 week block of outdoor physical education every Friday from Friday 28th August. For this block of outdoor PE children will be asked to attend school on this day wearing a waterproof jacket, plain black or grey jogging bottoms, a school polo shirt and a school jumper.
Kodu Game lab
Primary 6 used the Kodu Game lab to create a 3D virtual world. Then they used their coding skills to programme the characters to move and interact with the world.
Fairtrade in ICT
Primary 6 researched Fairtrade products and worked on creating presentations explaining the reason behind the Fairtrade movement Β and how it helps farmers and their communities. Some primary 6s used their new programming skills to create a Fairtrade animation in Β Scratch.
Sprite programming
Primary 6 are learning to program sprites and create backgrounds. They also practised programming sound, speech and character animation. They graded themselves against against criteria as gold, silver or bronze.
Coding
Primary 6 were creating and rewriting algorithms to complete challenges on code.org.
Creating ICT information Texts
Primary 6 are searching for copyright free images and importing them into PowerPoint to create a Halloween themed information text. Thay can resize and select pictures without backgrounds and can resize and edit text size and colour. Finally they are saving their work as JPEG images.
ICT typing skills
Primary 6 are working on their typing skills. Mr Green is looking for the correct starting finger position, accurate typing and an improved typing speed! Some very quick typing skills on display today!
Cool class cup… again!
Primary 6 have been so good that they have won the Cool Class Cup again, π
Ball skills and following game rules
The pupils in Primary 5/6 have been developing their listening, ball control and team working skills.
Some children have been developing their concentration skills through ball juggling exercises.
