Literacy
Spelling – write a short story using as many of this week’s words as you can.
Languages – look up the weather in another country and write a sentence to describe it using another language.
Main task
Yesterday you took notes about two books including the language, characters, main events and setting.
Evaluate the two texts – remember evaluate contains the word VALUE which means saying if the texts are good/bad and why. Compare the two books e.g. compare the two characters or the language used.

Word problem of the day
I want to cook a roast chicken. The chicken takes 75 minutes. I want to eat at 15:00 and I want to leave the chicken to rest for 20 minutes before I eat. What time do I need to put the chicken in the oven at?
(top tip – draw out a time line and work backwards)
EC = the potatoes take 25 minutes less than the chicken to cook, but I want them to be ready exactly when I want to eat. What time do I need to put the potatoes in at?
