This morning we were keeping ourselves busy by testing each other times tables, while some P7s were getting chairs.
Then Mrs Rutherford came and she was teaching us about music. We were listening to a tune called Alpha. Then we were creating the tune on xylophones.
The tunes on the xylophones were epic!
Then we went on to Garage Band and made some music.
After Mrs Rutherford left we did some maths comprehension with multiplying and dividing.
We learned when you are doing algebra calculations, if the calculation is mixed eg, 6+4 divided by 2 you have to add the 6, then the 4 and divide it by 2 , if you don’t, you’ll get the wrong answer!
After playtime we went to ICT and we were making a party plan with food, decorations, crackers, entertainment and a venue. We had a budget of 5,000 pounds and if we had any money left over we could spend it on gifts for the guests.
This morning our class came in and did their name for lunch, there was a worksheet on their desk that they had to complete, it was about pas tense verbs e.g = “stuart fell” -“A star has fallen”
We went to a house assembly at 9:15, we were learning our new christmas song for assembly caled “all around the world” (it was a quick assembly) After that we did star pupils for each of the classes. Leila and Ciara got the star pupil for our class!
when we got back to class we finished off our worksheets and then the teacher went over the answers, we had another task after that where we had to explain what was wrong with the sentences containing apostrophes.

these are the senetnces that we had to explain what was wrong with them…
This morning we came in and we were learning to write a formal letter as an email. we did by writing a complaint to somebody in the class. We were writing a complaint about a hotel that was not up to standers.
Here is a picture of an email Sian sent to Arran:
After break time we did an informal letter back to Santa’s wife because Santa’s wife was being cheeky. we were learning to write an informal letter using vcop.
After lunch we were listening to Mr Mcmullan read the end of “Alex Rider Storm breaker. Here is a metaphor “The wind was tearing his eyes.” Mr Mcmullan left it on a cliff hanger.
Next we did maths: First we did a maths test and you had to answer as many questions as you can in one minute. Mckenzi scored a amazing score of “16”. well done Mckenzi ! Charlie Anne also scored 37!
