Today, P6/7 were very lucky today and had a visit from a South Lanarkshire school who led the learning through different STEM activities. We created pneumatic rockets .
Thank you to all of the family members who were able to come to the open morning and help P6/7 complete their art. The pupils were so excited to share this with you all and chose to do an art activity with you
P6/7 began our new class novel today and predicted what might happen in the story using the front cover and blurb. We then watched the trailer for the film and added anything extra we observed which gave us clues. After that we watched it again but focussed on the music and when it changes, suggesting why.
P6/7 are going to be reading The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe as our class novel. As part of this learning, we are going to be watching parts of the film. As the film is a PG could you please notify the school office if you would prefer your child not to watch this film.
P6/7 listened to some calming and relaxing music. We focussed our minds on our breathing and then thought of a compliment for ourself and gave ourself a goal for the day. We all found out that this helped us to concentrate and we want to do it again!
