Todays assembly is to share information and learn more about what can be done to support people with disabilities. We learned that there is a charter to help protect and look after people with disabilities and that not all disabilities can be seen.<\/p>\n

Article 2 – No discrimination : <\/b>The Convention applies to every child without discrimination, whatever their ethnicity, gender, religion, language, abilities or any other status, whatever they think or say, whatever their family background.<\/p>\n

Article 23 – Children with disabilities: <\/b>A child with a disability has the right to live a full and decent life with dignity and, as far as possible, independence and\u00a0play an active part in the community.\u00a0 Governments must do all they can to support disabled children and their families.<\/p>\n
