As the whole school are taking part in a walking to Tokyo daily mile challenge, this afternoon we learned more about the Japanese art The Great Wave and started to paint our own versions 🌸 🇯🇵

After maths and literacy, we had some outdoor pe where P5 practised their tennis skills working in teams of 4 🎾

This afternoon, we were learning more about Buddhists belief in reincarnation and thinking about our own views on afterlife. ☀

This afternoon, we have been learning more about Scottish and UK elections, before thinking about what we would name our own political parties 😊

Sometimes we start the day with some reading, something which is really important, especially while children are growing and learning! 😊

This week we are revising division before starting fractions as our new topic 😊

Today P5 wrote their news reports based on the evidence gathered about the Cuthbert case. 🐛 This afternoon we learned about constellations and drew some outside with chalk 🌌 Have a nice weekend! 🌈

We spent lots of time outside today for PE, reading and the daily mile ⛳ in class, we have been finishing off our maths multiplication and division topic, as well as having a debate about #freecuthbert for our next literacy news reports 😊🐛

This afternoon we learned the Buddhist story of The Monkey King and reflected on the message of the story. P5 loved recreating this story in groups outside! 🐵👑

Today P5 did a wee bit of maths before making some easter baskets, having an egg hunt and making playdough (as well as having some April fools played on them) 😂
