Sports Day

Our first activity was Football Skills, led by Stuart our Active Schools Coordinator.

Finlay: It was so fun learning how to play football properly.

Naima: I liked the games we played to help develop our skills.

Rachel: We played the ROCKET BALL Game which helped us aim the ball better.

Our second activity was the Obstacle Course.

Kasey: This helped me with my balance.

Robyn: I noticed I got faster at running and climbing doing this.

Sian D: This helped me be more athletic.

Our third activity was creating fruit kebabs.

Holly: I was able to practise the cutting skills I already learned in Food Technology.

Abigail: We used the “claw” and “bridge” cutting techniques to successfully cut up our fruit.

Our fourth activity was the Agility Course.

Emma: We had stations to complete and ended up really sweaty!

Kymberly: This helped me get better at jumping.

Toby: This was really fun and helped me get faster.

Our fifth activity was Kids Workout.

Seren: It was really fun but really tiring!

Sophia: We did lots of different mini workouts and finished really sweaty and warm!

Jack: We had to do lots of different exercises and some were really difficult.

Our sixth activity was the Bouncy Castle.

Then it was the flat races. We all gave our best effort and felt so proud of ourselves. Well done to Jack and Owen who received medals.

We had the BEST day!!

P4 Award Ceremony

Well done to each and every child in P4B for all gaining certificates today. Well deserved by all!

I am so proud of everything each and every one of you have achieved in P4 and know you will all continue to do well in P5. I will miss you all, but look forward to opportunities where we can work together again next session.

Dig In Day Success

Heather’s gran kindly donated these items for us to use in the Nature Garden. Thank you very much!

Dig In Day

Primary 4 have taken on the responsibility of the school Nature Garden, along with Primary 5. So far we have been out in the garden and come up with ideas of what we would like to see there. We are very lucky to have such an area in our school and are able to use it to help with our learning. We met with a Countryside Ranger from Drumpellier Country Park and Pallacerigg Country Park to help us enhance what we already have. We know exactly what we want to achieve and Colin is the man to help us with this! helpwant[1]

The Dig In Day tomorrow will help us to get started on the plans we have made. We can’t wait to get started. If you can help in anyway we will be in the school grounds from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. We would really appreciate any help you can provide, and any time you could spend with us would be wonderful! Colin will be there with another Ranger and he will bring tools and resources we can use to cut back some trees, create clearer pathways, and clear the full garden to create specific areas. We will even be making bird boxes and unveiling the new name and sign of the garden. It’s an opportunity not to be missed!

We hope to see you all there!

Remember kids, you need to come with an adult.

Walk To School Week Certificates

It’s cool to walk to school!

We walked to school every day of Walk to School Week and got a fab certificate!

NEWSFLASH

Primary 4B have only just finished celebrating our fourth win of Me Time Class of the week, and we now need to think about how we will celebrate winning it for a fifth time!!

Primary 4B have achieved the most Me Time tickets five times and in doing so, will be rewarded with A Big Day Out.

We are thrilled to be the first class to win this reward and look forward to planning it for nearer the end of the school year, when we hopefully have better weather.

ME Time Winners Fun Day!

Primary 4 always show a responsible attitude, our best manners, always work hard and complete all tasks to the best of our ability. Our hard work has paid off because we have become the Me Time Class of the Week winners on 4 occasions and Mrs Hunter has rewarded us with a Fun Day in school.
