*URGENT* ‘Annie’ Show Requirements

Annie_logo_51c067bdb94f0As you know Primary 4 are busy rehearsing for the summer show Annie.  Most of the pupils are playing orphans from the Whitelees Orphanage and, if possible, are required to wear scruffy clothes and bring in dusters or cleaning utensils.  Emma & Ebony are NYC girls and, if possible, should wear party clothes.  Our dress rehearsal is next Monday but we would be very happy if pupils could start bringing these items in as soon as possible and they can be stored in the classroom.

Mrs Hunter has also asked if pupils could bring in family photos that can be played on the big screen as part of a slideshow at the beginning of the show.  These would be scanned and returned the same day.

We are all very excited for the show and your help and support in providing costumes and photos is very much appreciated.

thanks-1

Mrs Wightman challenged us to show her we are Math Magicians by answering as many division questions as we could in one minute.

Yesterday the winner was Callum W and today it was Kayleigh!  Well done to you both!

Our runners up were Aiden S (by only one second!!!!), Kyran, Sarah and Hannah.

We all tried really hard and proved how much we have learned to do with our times tables.  Mrs Wightman is very proud!

It was fun doing the maths challenges but quite hard too.  Hannah

I got beaten by one second and was really annoyed!  Aiden

I’m really proud of myself that I came first!  Kayleigh

I was the first to do the challenge and I was proud that I managed a harder one.  Declan

It was really fun but I was annoyed I only answered ten questions right.  Kai

I was beaten by Aiden with one point.  Kyran

I was second at first then was knocked off by Aiden.  Emma Louise

I challenged myself by doing the nine times table.  Emma

I didn’t think I would beat Aiden but then I did by one second.  Callum W

I did the five times table and although I know it I still found it hard.  Tegan

Dig In Day

Primary 4 have taken on the responsibility of the school Nature Garden, along with Primary 5.  So far we have been out in the garden and come up with ideas of what we would like to see there.  We are very lucky to have such an area in our school and are able to use it to help with our learning.  We met with a Countryside Ranger from Drumpellier Country Park and Pallacerigg Country Park to help us enhance what we already have.  We know exactly what we want to achieve and Colin is the man to help us with this!   helpwant[1]

The Dig In Day tomorrow will help us to get started on the plans we have made.  We can’t wait to get started.  If you can help in anyway we will be in the school grounds from  11 a.m. – 2 p.m.  We would really appreciate any help you can provide, and any time you could spend with us would be wonderful!  Colin will be there with another Ranger and he will bring tools and resources we can use to cut back some trees, create clearer pathways, and clear the full garden to create specific areas.  We will even be making bird boxes and unveiling the new name and sign of the garden.  It’s an opportunity not to be missed!

We hope to see you all there!

Remember kids, you need to come with an adult.

‘Annie’ Rehearsals

We have been working hard with the cast and P5 to perfect our singing and dancing for the upcoming school show.

“Flat Emily”

Flat Emily has had a very busy Bank Holiday weekend!

She visited Seton Sands Haven Caravan Park and danced with the Seaside Squad.

Then she went to Edinburgh City Centre.

She enjoyed visiting The Kelpies in Falkirk.

Emily then got to visit Briarlands Farm where she had lots of fun!

WHAT A WEEKEND!

It’s A Hard Life! :)

It’s tough being in Primary 4B when you get treats and D.V.D.’s as a way to end the week!

FullSizeRenderUnfortunately it is Miss McCafferty’s last day with us today and she wanted to reward us for our hard work with a treat.  We really appreciate all of the fun opportunities you have given us during your time here.

Thank You! We will miss you!
