P4 will be having a Halloween party on Friday afternoon so could each child please bring a costume in a bag.  There will be time to change after lunch and it will be a fun way for the children to end to the week.

Monsters and Halloween

At the start of the week the children created acrostic poems about monsters or Halloween. Here is a selection of their work. The star writers wrote poems with similes.

What I Love About Learning in P4

We love learning!

Roni said, “I like the take away sums we do in Maths because I really get the hang of it”

Science

“I like how we did the moving toys investigation because it was fun to learn. I learned that a force called gravity is necessary to make them move.” Shanna answered.

“I liked how the car went down the hill.   I learned that the steeper hill gave it more power,” Nathan said.

Morgan said, ” I’ve liked that my teacher is going to a French class to teach us more French. It’s fun!”

“Our class is the best in the world because we got to play playground games and I love learning about Maths, like big sums. ” Ross shared.

Busy Week in P4

We began the week by preparing, cooking then eating potatoes grown from our  own Whitelees’ vegetable garden. The wedges were delicious Ross and Shanna said.

Later we celebrated our hard work by three of our class going to the special tea party. Friday afternoon the whole school celebrated the unveiling of a special plaque for our 40th anniversary tree. It encourages us to explore, discover and to understand.
