Primary four are delighted to announce that we will be working with Guinness World Records ™ (GWR) on the 2015 Summer Reading Challenge. We were invited to Abronhill Library today to be told all about the challenge by Mac-A-Story. The theme will be Record Breakers!
They told us an ancient tale about Finn McCool, and his seven friends. The friends helped Finn to complete his challenge of defeating the giant and taking back everything he had stolen. The audience participants had to act out the story as Fergus narrated. Jody was the worlds best thief in the story. Dominic was the worlds best archer.
They then retold a story about the fastest woman in the world, Atlantis. The story was funny.
Christian was then chosen to help retell the story of Thor, the mighty god of thunder.
We have all brought home a registration form to let us take part in the summer challenge and become a RECORD BREAKER.
This needs to come back to school tomorrow.
