We are really enjoying indoor PE with Mr Young and Miss Smith. We are learning about ball skills this term. We know that for a pass to be successful we need to think about the speed, where we are looking and how hard we throw the ball. Have a look at us during PE.
We have been learning all about our feelings in Health and Wellbeing. We can discuss our feelings and how they can affect the feelings of others. Look at us showing good listening skills during our circle time. This shows we respect the feelings of others during discussions, and that makes us very happy.
We have been learning all about Climate Zones around the world. We learn about each Climate Zone as Flat Stanley visits them. So far he has visited the Temperate Zone and the Desert Zone. We can tell you all about the weather in these areas and compare them to our own weather. We cant wait to see where Flat Stanley will visit next !
We are enjoying learning about Big Maths ! We have met lots of characters which help us, such as Super FAB, PIM and Mully. We know about how each character helps us in Maths. Every week we are given Learn Its as homework. We learn these sums and their switchers. This prepares us for our Big Maths Beat That challenge on a Friday ! Have a look at us doing one of these challenges
We have all settled back into school very well and our hard work is well under way. This year we have Mr Young and are very excited about all the exciting things we will learn this year in P2/3! Check back with us regularly to see what is happening in our classroom.
Boys and girls I hope you are having a fantastic Summer holiday. I just recieved an e-mail from Deep Sea World with photos of your fantastic work on display in the Shark Classroom. I am very proud to see all your hard work displayed for other schools and visitors to Deep Sea World to see. You should all be so proud of yourselves. Well done to you all and I wish you all the best for Primary 3. I know you will make your new teachers just as proud.
Well done P2b on winning the big day out award. P2b went to Palacerigg Country Park for their reward and had a fantastic time. What a great way to finish off their year in Primary 2. The children were very brave and went on the treetop walk. They accepted the challenge of looking down whilst walking and baby stepping along. Some even walked backwards! P2b got to feed and look at lots of different animals, then got to feed themselves before playing in the park.
After lunch we put on our brave hats and went into the 112 metre long, under the water tunnel . We saw lots of scary fish including tinkerbell the shark. We also saw a funny ray that kept smiling and waving at us !
Come and see the amazing things happening in our classroom
