Deep Sea World

We had a fantastic trip to Deep Sea World in North Queensferry yesterday, Thursday 11th June.   It was a great end to our topic “Under the Sea”.   We were able to see and touch some of the sea creatures we have been learning about in class.   The walk in the tunnel below the sharks was amazing!

Here are some of the things we enjoyed about our trip.

“We saw funny stingrays.” – Louie

“We helped Katie clear all the rubbish away from the rockpool.” – Ava

“My class went through the underwater tunnel.” – Liam

“I watched the seals being fed.” – Eilidh

“My class looked at and touched the sea creatures.” – Keir

Tennisathon

We bounced a tennis ball for three bounces then passed it to our partner who then bounced the ball for three bounces.   This was a sponsored event to help raise money for our trip to Deep Sea World next week.    We have still to count up all the money raised and we will let you know the total as soon as it is counted.

“Under the Sea” – 3d books

We have written a story about a character who goes under the sea on an adventure.   First of all we wrote one chapter each week in our taught writing lesson.    Next we redrafted each chapter, then we painted the outside and drew pictures.    Finally we assembled our books with the help of our teacher and our student teacher Mrs Small.    To finish off, we invited our families in to see and hear

our stories.
