It is the aim of both the nursery and school staff to ensure that we work together as a team for the good of the children in our care and to ensure there are strong links and liaison between nursery and school. This in turn ensures as smooth a transition as possible for children going from nursery to Primary 1

Existing Liaison
- Nursery teacher attends staff meetings.
- P1 teacher visits the nursery weekly prior to new children starting school.
- The nursery children attend special assemblies, school shows etc.
- In June the P1 teacher receives completed Transition Records and Records of Achievement from the nursery. In addition to this information is obtained by the teacher from nursery staff and from her own observations during nursery liaison visits.
- The PT is responsible for liaison between nursery and P.1. and will work with the nursery team.
In addition to this the PT will visit the nursery of children who are to attend P.1. but do not attend Victoria nursery.
