S3 Modern Studies – Police Scotland Cyber Crime Unit (04/10)
S3 Modern Studies pupils took part in a Police Scotland Cyber Crime seminar. This session outlined what Cyber Crime prevention is and discussed what areas they focus on such as email phishing, organised crime and hacking. The Cyber Crime representative explored two-factor-authorisation, shared iCloud hubs and sharing personal information on social media. The seminar stressed how easy personal details and images can be used against an individual through blackmail and fraud. At the end of the session, we had a Q&A session with Campus Cop PC Sarah about assessments before entering the police such as fitness, numeracy and language.
