On Thursday 17th November, we heard a variety of musical performances from 17 finalists out of a whopping 86 competitors at our Young Musician of the Year Final 2022. Our 2nd<\/sup> two-day event, held during the school day, Taylor High School Young Musician was such a success, that the Music Team thought it was only fair to invite an external adjudicator to choose our winners. There were 8 vocalists and 9 instrumentalists from all year groups battling it out for the title. We were indulged by a lot of well know pieces, songs from musicals, big hit indie rock numbers, folk music to classical guitar<\/span>\u00a0and beautiful modern piano numbers. The audience was in awe of our young people who demonstrated courage and confidence to perform, in many cases by memory. Guest adjudicator, Mr Kevin Flynn, not only a former Music Teacher at the school but a competitor of the current series of The Great British Bake Off 2022 was so very impressed with the musical talent on display. We would like to thank him for taking the time to come along. We are delighted to announce that event was such a roaring success that it will now be a permanent feature in the Taylor High School Calendar.<\/div>\n
