Good luck to all of our National 5 Maths pupils with their exam tomorrow!!
A big thank you to author Kjartan Poskitt who sent our S1 pupils signed bookmarks after seeing their World Book Day 2022 activities inspired by his book series ‘Murderous Maths’. What a lovely surprise!
Our pi day staff coffee morning raised £157.12 for SCIAF! Thank you to all staff who participated and gave generously!
Miss Milligan and Miss McIntyre’s class created ‘pi chains’ where each colour represents a certain number. As well as posters and pi skylines (pi lines) where the height of each building represents a digit of pi!
Mr O’Donnell’s class practiced reciting pi to as many digits as possible whilst balancing a ‘pi pole’!
Miss Clelland’s class experimented with ‘light trail photography’ by drawing the digits of pi using torches. Activity inspired by Chris Smith @aap03102 on twitter!
Today some of our S1 pupils celebrated ‘World Book Day 2022’ in Maths by creating bookmarks. Pupils looked at the ‘Murderous Maths’ book series by Kjartan Poskitt and came up with their own mathematical book titles! Thank you Mrs Leslie for taking some of our S1 through this activity!
