{"id":1024,"date":"2024-01-10T14:07:03","date_gmt":"2024-01-10T14:07:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/thslanguages\/?p=1024"},"modified":"2024-01-10T14:07:03","modified_gmt":"2024-01-10T14:07:03","slug":"happy-new-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/thslanguages\/2024\/01\/10\/happy-new-year\/","title":{"rendered":"Happy New Year!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Happy New Year!<\/p>\n<p>We hope you have had a wonderful festive period!\u00a0 In the Taylor Languages Faculty we have been very busy beginning new units of work.<\/p>\n<p>In English:<\/p>\n<p>Our S1&#8217;s have now started our Burns unit and will have a look into Scots language, Robert Burns and his poetry and traditional Scottish culture.<\/p>\n<p>Our S2 classes are starting our media unit on Jurassic Park where they will be studying media techniques for the first time.<\/p>\n<p>In S3,\u00a0 we are finishing report writing or a persuasive piece and due to start our independent research unit.<\/p>\n<p>Our S4 are currently studying their Scottish Text unit &#8211; studying Sailmaker or Jackie Kay poetry.<\/p>\n<p>Our S5 and S6&#8217;s have just completed their prelim exam &#8211; well done!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0 THS Languages<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Happy New Year!
