HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to LENA SURMA (S3) for winning the Glasgow Kelvin College Design Competition with her contemporary designs – based on forecasted fashion trends.<\/p>\n

Lena’s garment description: “Men’s shirt and shorts with pattern inspired by wind turbines and the shadows they cast. Unique pointed style details taken from inspiration”.<\/p>\n

Lena’s winning design was constructed by NC and Higher National Diploma Fashion students at Glasgow Kelvin College – her garment was the first to grace the catwalk on 18\/05 and will be retained for showcase purposes in the upcoming year.<\/p>\n

Showing their support: Olivia, Sawera and Jacob (S3) also attended the GKC Fashion Show 2023 – a terrific event.<\/p>\n

Lena’s teacher Mrs. Boyle (who helped to coordinate this competition\/event) and the Art & Design team are super proud of the creative talents across the THS Art & Design department.<\/p>\n
