Therapeutic Art uses the creative process of making art to improve a person\u2019s <\/span>physical, mental and emotional well-being. S1 pupils were contemplating their life experiences, then collaborating to produce work based on themes of reflection<\/strong> and gratitude.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

VAN GOGH CRITICAL WORK WITH QUIZ and a TONAL HOMEWORK STUDY<\/strong><\/p>\n

This week, S1 have 2 assignments to complete:<\/p>\n

Assignment 1)<\/strong> This is an exciting opportunity for pupils to learn background information about artist Vincent Van Gogh and complete a quiz to demonstrate their understanding of the artist.<\/p>\n

On reading the PowerPoint, pupils will discover facts about Vincent Van Gogh and information relating to his studio work: how he approached work as an artist. The supported audio could help to guide them through his fascinating life and work.<\/p>\n

Assignment 2) <\/strong>For homework, pupils will capture an expressive tonal study of an object.<\/p>\n

SUPERHERO GRAPHIC DESIGN TASK PART II<\/span><\/p>\n

This week in Art & Design, S1 will only be assigned one project as it\u2019s a large project with a lot of tasks to complete. No additional homework will be set this week.<\/p>\n

Pupils are asked to respond to a design brief and create an imaginative Comic Book Cover \u2013 incorporating elements from their previous assignment.<\/p>\n

Their cover should grab the viewer\u2019s attention by combining symbols, images and text to give visual information about their comic book, its characters and story. This project may require some online research which pupils should ask for permission for by a parent or guardian.<\/p>\n
