CREDIT UNION
Please remember that the children have an opportunity to save with the Credit Union every Friday. This helps to install a positive financial attitude at an early age. We really appreciate the help of the volunteers from Wishaw Credit Union who come every week to help us. Keep saving!
This Week’s Learning
Primary 7 had a visit this week from the Missions Priests. They told us a story all about how we judge ourselves and reminded us that we should care more about what God thinks of us.
Some of our children went to represent the school at Cross Country. Well done boys and girls. You made us all proud.
This week in maths we have been learning all about angles in a triangle. We had fun ripping the angles off and showing how they always add up to 180 degrees.
We are almost finished our War Horse novel study. Today we watched the first few chapters of the film. We were able to compare our vision with that of the film’s director.
JOSEPH, JOSEPH, JOSEPH!!!! The show is making excellent progress. We are excited to see it all come together. Luca did a great job at after school club!
We had an opportunity to taste some porridge as part of our learning in lent. There are many schools in Malawi which feed their children a bowl of porridge every day. This encourages them to attend school.
Please remember to attend Mass in the mornings if you can We will be assessing Pope Francis Faith Award very soon.

Primary 2 chatted in class about our learning this week. Here are our comments:
What we’ve been doing…
D.D. – Learning about subtraction.
S.F. – Learning about Katie Morag’s island.
N.B. – Counting back to take away and how to do sums.
K.D. – Learning Nursery Rhymes.
J.F. – Playing games for Carousel activities like pairs.
K.F. – Tens and units sums.
What we’ve learned …
D.D. – New skills in football from our football coach.
S.F. – I’m better at upstairs/downstairs sums.
N.B. – I’m better at counting back from 100 because we’ve been practising.
K.D. – I’ve learned 3 new common words : his, have, had.
J.F. – I’m better at counting back from 100.
K.F. – My writing is getting neat and I’m better at underlining my title on the line.
Minni Vinnie
The Minni Vinnie group are looking for donations of Jam this week for their Easter Basket appeal.
P4 Science
We had fun in class today learning about electrical circuits.
Theatre Production
The whole school had the opportunity to watch some professional actors/actresses today when they watched The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe.
Art Lesson in P4
To design Joseph’s Technicolour Dreamcoat, Primary 4 are learning about the technique cubism.

Today P.6 had a visit from the zoo lab. They met some very interesting characters including Rocky, Marvin and Millie.
