{"id":8021,"date":"2019-01-02T10:29:41","date_gmt":"2019-01-02T10:29:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/stmichaelsweb\/?p=8021"},"modified":"2019-01-02T10:35:22","modified_gmt":"2019-01-02T10:35:22","slug":"nursery-admissions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/stmichaelsweb\/2019\/01\/02\/nursery-admissions\/","title":{"rendered":"Nursery Admissions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>NURSERY ADMISSION 2019\/20<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Applications for free nursery places in session 2019\/20 can now be submitted.\u00a0 Children attending nursery establishments in North Lanarkshire are eligible to start nursery in line with the following:-<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Children who reach three years of age between 1 March 2019 and 13 August 2019 can start nursery on 14 August 2019.<\/li>\n<li>Children who reach three years of age between 14 August 2019 and 29 February 2020 can start nursery the day after their third birthday.<\/li>\n<li>Children who apply to North Lanarkshire Council from another Local Authority ( Cross Boundary Protocol will apply) can start nursery the term after their third birthday (Fund Providers only)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Applications for children due to start nursery at <strong>any time<\/strong> in session 2019\/20 should be completed and submitted to the nursery of your first choice no later than <strong>Friday 1 February 2019.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you have any children in your family or know of any child\/children who may be eligible for nursery in session 2019\/20 I would be grateful if you would inform the parents\/carers that applications need to be submitted by this date.\u00a0 Submitting applications on time increases the opportunity of parents being granted a place in a nursery of their choice.\u00a0 Letters informing parents of the nursery allocation decisions will be sent out in the post on <strong>Friday 22 March 2019.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Applications forms, with guidance on completing the form and establishment contact details, can be collected from any establishment with nursery provision or can be downloaded from the council website at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.northlanarkshire.gov.uk\/nurseryplaces\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.northlanarkshire.gov.uk\/nurseryplaces<\/a><\/p>\n<p>If you need further information regarding the content of this letter please contact either your local nursery or the Family Information Service, on 01236 812281 or by emailing <a href=\"mailto:llsearlyyears@northlan.gov.uk\">llsearlyyears@northlan.gov.uk<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Please note that children should have a 27-30 month health review.\u00a0 You should contact your Health Visitor about this if you have not received an appointment.<\/p>\n<p>Your assistance in this matter is very much appreciated.<\/p>\n<p>Yours sincerely<\/p>\n<p>Mrs Karen Greechan<\/p>\n<p>Head Teacher<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NURSERY ADMISSION 2019\/20 Applications for free nursery places in session 2019\/20 can now be submitted.\u00a0 Children attending nursery establishments in North Lanarkshire are eligible to start nursery in line with the following:- Children who reach three years of age between 1 March 2019 and 13 August 2019 can start nursery on 14 August 2019.
